About this event
Storm King Art Center’s annual Summer Solstice Celebration is the Hudson Valley’s premier summertime event, featuring a cocktail reception and a gourmet farm-to-table dinner in the Art Center’s picturesque landscape. The festive affair will treat guests to private tours of the grounds and special viewings of the 2019 exhibitions, Mark Dion: Follies and Outlooks: Jean Shin.
The evening will also feature a special live performance by activist orchestra The Dream Unfinished, who previously performed at Storm King in 2018. The piece Epos: soundscape for thousands, was an activation of The peo-ple cried mer-cy in the storm, a site specific sculpture by Allison Janae Hamilton.
EVENING ITINERARY
- 5:00–7:00 pm: Reception including cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and exhibition viewings
- 7:30 pm: Dinner in the Fields
- 9:00 pm: Dessert
