In Binghamton you will find antique shops, retail malls, and a bustling Farmer's Market. The arts and entertainment are well represented with several galleries, theaters, and museums. The North East Classic Car Museum features the largest collection of Franklin luxury cars in the world. Orchestras, opera, dance and sports venues all provide a wealth of distractions and entertainment for residents and visitors. The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park is the fifth oldest in the nation with dozens of rare animals, activities, events, and educational programs. The Discovery Center is a hands-on museum for children.

The greater Binghamton area is rich in outdoor activities. With more than 9,000 acres of State Forest land, there is plenty of great hunting and fishing! There are several excellent golf courses in the area as well. The city of Binghamton's Rivertrails offers a place to walk, jog or ride in a beautiful setting, and the rolling hills of the region make for great bike touring.
